Description of Services: Everyone has an occupation or job * in early childhood, self-help, getting ready for school and play abilities are the primary jobs for children

Occupation Therapists (OT's) evaluate how a child is functioning or able to accomplish daily life roles or routines known as activities of daily living and be as independent as possible

Specialty services provided include:
  • Assessment of fine motor, sensory, and mobility needs 
  • wheelchair and equipment prescription
  • home accessibility
  • written communication
  • consultation for augmentative communication
  • feeding (joint with speech therapy)

Eligibility - Population(s) Served: Children and youth up to 19 years of age (21 years if still attending high school)
Application: May be self-referred, or by physician
